Are The Shampoo / The Conditioner color-safe?+
The Shampoo and The Conditioner are a gentle treatment duo that is color-safe. The Shampoo is formulated without sulfates and alcohols – two key contributors known to negatively affect color vibrancy and shine. The Shampoo also does not contain Silicones, Parabens, PEGs, and Synthetic Fragrance. The Conditioner features ingredients normally reserved for face – Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5 and celery seed extract – to help nourish and hydrate scalp and hair that may be depleted. Note: Nécessaire has not conducted a clinical perception study regarding color safety.

Is The Shampoo / The Conditioner package recyclable?+
The Shampoo and The Conditioner bottle is made of 100% Bio-Resin (Sugarcane). The bottle is made of HDPE, which is a widely recycled material across most local communities. The bottle is Recycle Sign 2. The cap is less than 2″x 2″ and is made of mixed resin (ABS/PP). The cap is not recyclable. The carton is made of 85% Post-Consumer Recycled content, is FSC-Certified and is 100% Recyclable. The insert is made of 70% Post-Consumer Recycled Content, is FSC-Certified and is 100% Recyclable. Once you have finished the product please empty the bottle and rinse. Remove the cap. Then place the bottle in the recycle bin. Nécessaire is climate neutral certified, plastic neutral certified and a 1% For The Planet Member.
What is Bio-Resin?+
Bio-Resin is plastic made from a plant source. Bio-resin is an alternative to petroleum-based resin. It typically has a lower carbon footprint. Bio-Resin is not readily biodegradable. The Bio-Resin used in The Shampoo and The Conditioner bottle is derived from sugarcane . The bottle is an HDPE bottle and is a Recycle Sign 2, which means it is recyclable in most local communities.
Does The Shampoo contain Cocamidopropyl Betaine?+
The Shampoo is formulated with Cocamidopropyl Betaine which is known as a gentle surfactant. The Shampoo has passed a safety test. It is Dermatologist-Tested, Hypoallergenic and Fragrance-Free. It contains No Sulfates, No Silicones, No Parabens, No PEGs and No Synthetic Fragrance. The Cocamidopropyl Betaine used in The Shampoo is sourced from reliable manufacturers. Should you have a specific allergy to Cocamidopropyl Betaine, we recommend that you please consult a doctor and/or avoid usage.
